Every time you think you've found some sort of fragile balance between sanity and happiness, there is someone who tells you it's just an illusion and you have to let go. Every single time you actually put some heart into the things you do, someone thinks it's appropriate to tell you that you must let go. Every time you smile from deep down, you are aware that a tear is waiting down the corner.
Every time you think you've found yourself, someone else comes and claims what you've found. Every time you see a candle lit in the darkness, someone makes sure they blow it before you find your way.
It's just the way the world works. Or so they say.
